Searches and Tools Overview

PATRIC supports many different types of searches and contains several tools, each briefly described below.

Genome Finder

Find genomes of interest by keyword (organism name, genome name, accession), NCBI Taxon ID, and GI number.

Genomic Features Search

Search for specific features using Gene Name, Locus Tag, or Protein Function as assigned by PATRIC curators.

GO Terms Search

Search by GO (Gene Ontology) term, assigned by PATRIC curators based on gene and gene product attributes.

EC Number Search

Search by EC number, assigned by PATRIC curators based on chemical reactions an enzyme catalyzes.

TIGRFam / PFam Search

Search protein families for information designed to support functional identification of proteins by sequence homology.

Start Search

BLOCKS Search

Search the BLOCKS database of ungapped alignments corresponding to highly conserved protein regions.

Start Search

COG Search

Search clusters of Orthologous Groups of proteins (COGs) delinated by comparing protein sequences.

Start Search

Epitope Search

Search for Immune Epitope Database (IEDB) epitopes found in the proteomes of PATRIC organisms.

Start Search

Multiple IDs Search

Search for entries based on a long list of heterogeneous identifiers using PATRIC's Multiple ID tool.
