Compare Amino Acid Sequences Using Multiple Sequence Alignment

At the feature level (e.g., CDS or protein), you can perform a multiple sequence alignment across members of an ortholog group, and visually arrange members (and their sequences) based on phylogeny. Alternatively, you can use Base-By-Base to add your sequences and compare them to sets of related sequences (requires JRE).

To start, click on "Go to Searches" to find a feature of interest using one of our specialized searches. Then click on the feature's "Ortholog Group" tab.

Perform Pairwise-Genome Alignment Using PATRIC Organisms

Enhanced comparative genomics capabilities allow you to make time-saving comparisons across genomes. Currently, you can compare two whole PATRIC genome sequences using MUMmer. You can also make use of interactive controls to visually explore the combined result set. To start, click "Go to MUMmer".
